Role of Artificial Intelligence in Circular Manufacturing: A Systematic Literature Review

Circular Economy (CE) empowers firms (micro-level), network of (meso-level), cities, regions and nations (macro-level) sustainability. CE potentialities in making regenerate resources are even greater if supported by technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is gaining momentum this regard. The extant literature presents a limited investigation the exploitable synergies among AI at different scales adoption manufacturing, also named Manufacturing (CM). Indeed, paper entails systematic review to investigate state-of-the-art domain proposing future research opportunities. Among findings, exploitation advanced micro-level, whilst meso-level, macro-level, three levels require further exploration.
